Mohammad H. Sajedi
Founder & Principal Systems Engineer
Mohammad Sajedi is a senior engineering and technology leader with more than 40 years of experience developing complex systems across medical devices, biotechnology, aerospace and defense, telecommunications, cloud computing, and embedded systems.
His medical technology work spans connected devices, embedded firmware, systems architecture, cloud-based diagnostic platforms, cybersecurity, verification, and regulated product development. His experience includes programs at ArcherDX/Invitae, Dexcom, Analogic, and Peerbridge Health, as well as technically demanding aerospace, communications, and advanced-computing systems.
At Atlas, Mohammad leads systems engineering and technical strategy, helping teams translate clinical and scientific ideas into buildable product architectures before expensive implementation decisions harden.

Nao Varri
Co-Founder & Head of Marketing
Nao Varri brings the commercial and market-facing perspective to Atlas, helping translate complex engineering capabilities into clear customer value. She has more than a decade of experience working across technology, SaaS, and other complex B2B markets, including work for organizations such as Google, Microsoft, Cisco, and SAP.
At Atlas, Nao works closely with the engineering side of the business to shape positioning, understand market needs, communicate technical value clearly, and build the marketing and educational systems that connect clinical innovators and MedTech teams with the right engineering expertise.
Selected clinical device engineering experience
- Continuous glucose monitoring
- We designed and developed firmware and software for a continuous glucose monitoring system under IEC/EN 62304, including board bring-up, BLE and NFC connectivity, device drivers, encrypted medical-data handling, and back-end integration.
- Cancer genomics and diagnostic software
- We led systems engineering for a genomics sequencing assay application designed to detect cancer cells, defining system requirements, architecture, risk analysis, cybersecurity, test protocols, and end-to-end traceability to support FDA approval. We later led architecture and development for an AWS-based bioinformatics applications platform used to move clinical workflows into scalable production software.
- Wearable cardiac monitoring
- We evaluated ECG signal algorithms and a medical-grade wireless wearable, proposed architecture improvements and developed an FDA-aligned cybersecurity plan spanning software, wireless connectivity, third-party components, and postmarket risk.
- Closed-loop medical device firmware
- We evaluated and improved closed-loop firmware for a localized hypothermia medical device, working with hardware and software engineers on performance, maintainability, and IEC/EN 62304 compliance while supporting precise temperature control.
- Infusion and syringe-pump systems
- We helped develop a high-performance continuous-flow syringe pump, including board bring-up, SafeRTOS migration, embedded display work, USB connectivity, and desktop user-interface development.
